Today I'm gunna walk you through a perfect run of Mega Man 2. Heatman is a tough level to complete in it's own right, because of all the death pits and appearing block puzzles, but as far as no-hit runs go, it's pretty much the same, cuz getting knocked down by one of theses tellies usually results in death anyway. A quick tip for doing perfect runs in general is to do them as fast as possible, because then you get used to having the enemies spawn at the same time. If you hesitate and go back and forth you wind up ruining the flow, so just approach it as a speedrun. I'm not doing speedruns for any of these I just threw the clock in the bottom in case anyone was interested. The fastest route is usually a little different and would require items. Maybe I'll try that another time, if Capcom ever adds it's to a Mega Man collection. Like this part you can use any one of three items to skip this crap if you want. Don't wait too close to the wall here or else the telly will move too far right preventing you from making a clean jump. Not to mention the tellies on the right will spawn too soon. If you cross the gap and wait for the block to appear you run the risk for getting pushed back into the pit, so just chill out for a second. The best advice I can give for the block puzzles is to turn up the volume a little bit, or play with headphones even. You need to jump straight up immediately for two of these blocks so you don't get stuck. Listening to the pattern of the blocks is just as impotant as learning them visually.
This next part is the toughest. It's 3 in a row followed by a quick jump up. If you get stuck you can still save yourself by running and jumping but you gotta be fast.
The final sniper joe is a pain in the ass so pay attention. Don't climb down the ladder-- drop down. Land exactly in front of where the armor jumps and shoot like all hell. It's 20 shots and you got about 3 seconds to take him down. When Joe pops out you can jump back on the ladder if you're feeling tired, and just wait for him to reveal himself like you normally would.
The only tough part about Heatman is the first shot. Shoot and jump forward so you can dodge his fire attack. He'll charge forward, so jump over turn around and shoot him. If you're quick he won't be able to shoot his fire arc. Keep your distance as far as possible so you can time your jumps appropriately. Because he won't charge attack with the same timing, sometime he stalls, like right there. Heatman is only 14 hits so he shouldn't be a problem even for new players. I still don't recommend you start here because this stage is pretty brutal.
