Today I'm gunna walk you through a perfect run of Mega Man 2. Jump, grab the ladder and head right to avoid the tellies. Shoot what you can and head back up. Remember to jump and grab the ladder as high as possible to save time. Stand near the ledge and wait for the topright to make his way down so you can blast him. Jumpshoot and grab the ladder. Continue up quickly. Get close enough to the metools and they lift their hard hat. Short hopping helps. Once you get acquainted they're easy to manipulate, as long as they're not in a tricky position.
Ride the transport around the screen clearing out any tellies you deem necessary. If you want to do this as quickly as possible just use item 1. These next few screens are all good farming locations.
Jump and grab the ladder as early as you can so you don't waste time. This stage isn't too hard but it can be cumbersome. Remember our friend blocky? You want to land right between his 1st and 2nd block, and don't jump higher than you need to. A medium hop.
A little time saver there. Jump land shoot retreat jump again to take out the hardhat robot. This next part requires a trick to complete without taking damage. Start by heading up the left ladder. Don't fall like a moron. You need to pause while jumping off the ladder to reach the other side. Unfortunately, the bird came from the left. You can make it come from the right by facing left while grabbing the ladder from the previous screen. Now the bird comes from the right, and you can jump pause grab the right ladder. Stay low. Quick get off jumpshoot the bird. you want to be facing left except you want to be on the right ladder, so I screwed up. Now I'm on the correct ladder, but I was facing the wrong way. Watch me switch directions real quick. Finally the bird is coming from the right and we're safe. This level reminds me of Elecman's stage. Lot's of vertical platforming punishment, but a killer soundtrack.

These helicopter robots are a breeze. Let the first one come to you then make a run for it and your timing should be good. You can take out the last one or run underneath your choice.

Crashman can be tricky until you find the rhythm. Start with a rush down, jump shoot and run to the wall. Jump, turn, shoot, run back to left. Jump, turn, shoot, and repeat 25 more times. It sort of feels like jousting and isn't as difficult as it looks. It's just the sprite flickering and explosions that you gotta ignore. I actually recorded this run twice because the first time Mega Man kept disappearing. It's managable during gameplay, but when I capture the video with my PS4, he will totally misses frames. This is because it only captures 30 frames per second while the actual game sprite flickering occurs every other frame. Even though I really enjoy anniversary collection.
I think we need a proper remastering of the mega man classic series complete with speedrun and no damage challenges. And they should totally 8-bitify Megaman 7 and 8. But if you want to beat Crashman, it might be easier with your eyes closed and the sound turned up.
