Today I'm gunna walk you through a perfect run of Mega Man 2. If you're just joining us, I'm taking you through a no damage buster only run of each of the Robot Master levels. Doing this is easier on the original Mega Man, so if you're having trouble start there. You need to jump up and down like an assclown if you wanna keep your footing and avoid the spikes. They aren't instant death though like most spikes in Mega Man. And I totally disappeared thanks to the super realistic emulation found in Mega Man Legacy Collection. It actually replicates the experience of owning a dusty broken NES console. Luckily I can tell where I am due to the screen position, and listening to my bullets.

This next part you gotta creep up on these drill bits so you don't get hit through the floor. You can use Woodman's leaf sheild for protection or flash stopper but I prefer torturing myself. You can actually see them through the walls if you look carefully, so it's not totally cheap. Make sure you jump as much as you can to save time through this nonsense.
I like to run underneath the first Pierrobot, catch the attention of the next one, and turn around and shoot the first one. And usually the second one doesn't respawn but whatever. You need to take out the assclown first because it'll slow down the gear. Not much to worry about really just keep jumping.

These block characters will throw themselves at your after the first hit. I like to time my shots as I come down from my jump, not as I'm going up, so I can immediately tuck myself against this wall. If you shoot too soon you'll take a hit. Big jump, followed by some scrubbing bubbles. You can't blame Metal Man for keeping his floors clean.

Metal Man is easy to defeat under normal circumstances, but not taking a hit can be tricky. Often you'll be jumping over 2 of his metal blades, so you need to jump forward while shooting, without getting too close or he'll move to the other site of the screen. The conveyor belt switches directions so make sure you run left when you're being pulled in. He's 28 hits with the buster so try getting settled into a rhythm. Sometimes you'll get thrown off his three blade pattern and have to react to individual blades. If you lose his pattern it's hard to recover but you can do it with A-game reaction skills. It's a pretty fun boss battle to be honest.
You see that? That last blade didn't count because he was already dead. Thanks for watching and see you next time.
