First time playing this title, I originally thought the trip to the BSL would be minor and that Samus would fly to a nearby planet. This changed after going through at least 3 sectors. Keep in mind, that at this point, I only finished a portion of Super Metroid, but not the entire game later on which is why the idea of another Ceres Station was fresh in my mind. Also the Frigate Orpheon from Metroid Prime since I actually bought that title before Fusion, mainly at the time there wasn't a lot of GameCube titles I'd consider playing.

Despite Arachnus' growth since Return of Samus, he actually isn't as hard. If you retrieved all the available upgrades before the boss battle, you can outright fire an onslaught of missiles and arm cannon shots to wear him down quickly (which also saves on completion time). He doesn't inflict a whole lot of damage, although his attacks sorta suggest otherwise, and unlike his previous days, he cannot jump; possibly because he is not merged with the Spring Ball but just the Morph Ball. Damage suffered during battle should be of no concern since absorbing the Core-X is a full heal at this point, which also is an interesting replacement to the original recovery drops from previous titles that conserves lots of time.

The Core-X that appears after every battle annoys me. Collision damage is quite high and the non-beam ones are certainly much faster than the Beam Core-X's. The Beam ones however, are slightly trickier to attack due to their invulnerable shells and attack eye.
