The private exchange between the central computer and the unknown federation agent is a pretty interesting addition to the game's overall story and it definitely gets the player thinking more too. Speaking of which, I think the icon of the incoming messages looks very much like GameCube, although I do concede they are both JUST CUBES. At the time though, the GCN was a major console, so perhaps it is a possible reference to Nintendo's other current console.

The Cold-X are not too annoying as Samus is capable of freezing them (possibly due to their more solidifed molecular structures). The only thing to watch out for, is they do hide a lot in blocks, so avoid blasting too many. When you are finally capable of absorbing them, they heal more than the regular yellow parasites, roughly half a tank I think. Yet after entering one room with them inside, then leaving, they will no longer do kamikaze dives to foribly make Samus absorb them.

Another encounter with the SA-X, a mandatory one in fact since only it can demolish the wall with a power bomb. I've seen some players gun it immediately after the wall is destroyed primarily for the sake of their speed run. Not an easy thing to do, and not worth risking, since the doppleganger can kill Samus in a few shots, whereas Samus has no way of fending off the thing. Be careful not to step on the disintegrating floor blocks above the exit before the clone leaves.

One of the few instances I've seen of a fake item upgrade at 7:54. I think this is the only game in the series to incorporate this idea so far.

The computer does bring up a good point. How did the X Parasite download data? It's not like they are Digimon lol.
