Part 19.Metroid Fusion follows Samus Aran back at the now Metroid-free
SR388 to explore the fauna of the planet. On a research assignment, an
unknown specimen named the X Parasite attacks Samus infecting her Power
Suit. On the verge of death, scientists had to surgically remove
sections of Samus Aran's power suit and expose her to a vaccine
containing DNA of the infant Metroid that saved her life in Super
Metroid. As a result, Samus underwent a dramatic change but gave her
Metroid-like abilities that allows her to absorb X parasites. She has a
new mission and that is to travel to the Biological Space Laboratory
orbiting SR388 while regaining her powers and neutralize the SA-X, a
form of the X-parasite that contaminated her taking form of Samus' old
power suit. Metroid Fusion is more story driven providing more
backstory between Samus Aran and a man named Adam Malkovich, a
commanding officer that knew Samus very well for she knew how he
sacrificed himself to save her life. The real origin behind Samus and
Adam Malkovich will be further explained in the upcoming Metroid game
for the Wii titled Metroid: Other M.
