Moon Rabbit Rhapsody Takes Flight in Insane Bullet Hell Action!
0Moon Rabbit Rhapsody is an exciting new dual-protagonist, top-down shooter with an oriental theme currently in development. At first, I thought it was a survivor-like game, but after playing through several levels, I realized it's more reminiscent of classic vertical shooting games I enjoyed as a child.
The core gameplay revolves around clearing enemies and defeating bosses, with a map-switching mechanic. You control two characters: one with ranged abilities and the other with melee attacks. There are multiple ranged weapons, but they deal low damage, while melee attacks pack a punch. However, the melee character requires getting close to enemies, which can be risky, as it leaves you vulnerable to attacks.
A key mechanic in the game is that each enemy has armor, which must be depleted before you can inflict damage. If you don't focus on breaking the armor, it will regenerate, making battles more challenging. This creates a tactical layer where managing your attacks and character switching is crucial.
The game is a bullet-hell shooter, and while the controls are moderately difficult, it’s definitely not for players who aren't used to bullet-hell mechanics. The character portrait art style is unique and visually appealing, and the gameplay has potential for deeper strategy, though some skill balancing is still needed.
