Myst - Sega Saturn - Intro & opening 10 minutes of gameplay, classic puzzle game [4K60]
A short look at the start of the Sega Saturn port of the hugely successful Macintosh game Myst. If you knew anything about gaming in the 90s, you would have certainly heard about how successful Cyan Worlds point and click adventure game was. An rightly so, Myst was a game that tested the grey matter of gamers all over the world.
It's easy to see why so many people became adsorbed in exploring the island of Myst and the connecting ages. We always felt at Randomised Gaming it was a game for older gamer as the very nature of the puzzles made you reflect on every little aspect in each scene to solve the puzzles at hand.
Arriving on Saturn in 1995 and converted by Sunsoft. This port was surprising close to the PC original for the time. While later Saturn point and click titles like Frankenstein: Through the Eyes of the Monster, show the game could have been done at a higher resolution. Aside from the the slight load between scene, there is little to complain about in this version and at the time the 32bit console ports were a great alternative to the Macintosh & PC versions. Myst spawned a franchise with numerous sequel, its sequel Riven was also ported to Saturn.
