Mercenary Kings Reloaded Edition - PlayStation 4 - Intro & Gameplay from 3 missions [4K60]
A couple of missions from a range of areas in Mercenary Kings, a Metal Slug/Contra style arcade shooter from Tribute Games the team behind the Scott Pilgrim game. Mercenary Kings crosses arcade action with resource collecting and a huge range of customisation options. Allowing the player to tailor a weapon to their gameplay style, so whether you want a rapid firing machine gun or a slow fire high damage cannon you can build what you want. Just so long as you have all the parts and resources needed. Each mission drops a range of resources as do the various enemies you find across each area. With up to four player support on one console this is a great game for you and your friend to play together.
The base camp adds as a hub to pick your need weapon and to upgrade your weapons and gear, along with changing your appearance. Missions take place in pre-set area map with the player tasked with completing an objective within a time limit. Running out of time fails the mission and dying reduces the reward amount. Missions range from finding intel, collecting resources, free hostages and dealing with the many enemies and bosses that make up the forces of Claw.
It's an incredible well put together game that started life as a Kickstarter campaign. There's a huge amount of content here, from weapons to missions available. One slight gripe we have is it can get a little repetitive as it take take a while for extra to content to unlock, it's an excellent game well worth investing in. The Reloaded Edition was a free update release for all platform when the Nintendo Switch version launched which added in two new characters.
