Hello and thank you, you brave souls, for choosing to watch or listen to my playthrough of HeR Interactive’s 29th Nancy Drew Adventure game, The Silent Spy. This game was released just over a decade ago, in the autumn of 2013!

I will forewarn you that I struggled (hence the title) through this game. This is partly due to me not knowing the game very well, and not quite knowing how to move forward. It is also because I do not like this game (which is why I do not play it often and therefore do not know the ins and outs of it as I do other Nancy Drew games). This is quite possibly my least favourite game of the franchise. Not only do I dislike the execution of the storyline, there are also a lot of sound issues with the dialogue, which I find distracting and disappointing. And, the most annoying character (in my book) is featured in this story (oh, Bridget).

There are some positives, which I ought to make note of. I like when Nancy gets to look out the window while taking the train (there's something cozy about that). There are some good puzzles (NOT the Jabberwocky poem). And the soundtrack fits the game perfectly.

I thank you again for your patience, for those who stick with me through the whole video. It is a slog at times.
