Welcome Nancy Drew fans! This is a playthrough of HeR Interactive's 28th Nancy Drew adventure game, Ghost of Thornton Hall. This 2013 release is a dark story about a missing young woman from a family haunted by their tragic past. It's up to Nancy to determine if that history is related to the disappearance, while also dealing with the "ghost" of a deceased relative of the family.

As I note in the playthrough, I was conflicted about this game upon completing it when it was first released. I enjoyed the story (and that soundtrack--SUPERB), but the timing of the release really threw me for a loop. This was the second "dark" game in a row (atmospherically and thematically), and I would have preferred to have had a light, cheery game between this game and the previous one. So for that reason, I had a hard time making sense of my feelings about this installment. There are also a lot of dialogue issues, and I struggle a bit with the timeline and ages of the characters. Despite that, the story keeps me engaged, I like the characters and puzzles, and cannot get enough of the musical tracks.
