0:00 Finding the New City
Go north of Greyhem and you'll find a new path leading to where Eldrethen used to be. An NPC, Marius, is standing there planning to build a new city here. You have to recruit randomly generated NPCs from inns, pubs, and shops to fill out the population, but make sure to check in after each recruit. The state of the town will change and you can permanently miss some items if you recruit too many people at once.
Also, build an anti-undead squad and go to the Tower of Horror. Go to the room with all the bones, where you can fight a powerful bonus boss.
2:24 Boss: Necronaut
The boss can absorb a party member and do something with them, though I managed to kill it before its countdown buff could tick down.
5:07 New City Grind
Again, remember to check in on the town and examine everything to get items, after each new recruit. You cannot evict villagers until you have more than 15, which means you will permanently lose access to the pre-15 versions of the town.
Once you get 30 people, the town map will evolve depending on what type of people you recruited. All these towns have their own items and shards to loot, so you have to build them all to get everything. It's recommended to get Thedorado last, since this one is the most convenient as a one-stop location for shopping. See the Steam guide for more details.
I missed the pre-15 Celestium Shard, but fortunately, the shard seller in Thedorado sells missable shards. There is also a shop that sells missable equipment. However, both of these sellers can sell shards and items that are available in unreturnable areas. If you buy them now, they will permanently disappear from their normal locations. Don't buy stuff from them unless you really need to.
Overall, I don't like this mechanic. Not only does it introduce such an arbitrary missable area, but recruitment of villagers is just a huge grind, since you're going in and out of buildings to get them to spawn. And it gets worse when you have to do this for multiple evolution paths of the town. I would have preferred that city building minigame have unique, meaningful NPCs and for the end result to be the same, so we don't have to evict anyone.
I recommend completing all this anyways, since this will allow you to get enough shards to get the Traveler's Cloak, which allows you to avoid random encounters. Just don't abuse it too much, since you still need to level up.
41:08 Following Yen
Follow Yen, who will take you through Mt Ortis Path and the Crescent of Porthos. The Crescent of Porthos has a puzzle where you must activate orbs to create bridges.
49:23 Hermit's Path
Hezerac will teach Furi how to use Space Magic, which is ridiculously expensive and isn't worth using unless you're fighting enemies that are immune to all other types of damage. Afterwards, he'll wait for you to be prepared for the next segment of the game.
58:35 Boss: Raijin
This lightning summon boss can inflict paralysis and stun, so you may want to equip status resistance gear on party members who already have high Will to begin with. Everyone with low Will should equip lightning resistance. As for earth damage, Quathorn is currently your only option for that. There is another character who can fill that role, but they won't be recruitable yet. In addition to gaining the summon skill, you also get the Ring of Amon'Quel to be wearable.
