This place is a huge step up from the party split segments in terms of difficulty. Hopefully, everyone in all three parties are at least level 20. The elf enemies are already insanely strong and are a huge MP drain due to their physical resistance. The Validian soldier enemies can constantly revive each other, making them a huge slog if you fail to simultaneously kill them. Fortunately, the payoff in the end is that all three parties unite at the end, allowing you to enter Great Gaias to build a team for the boss battle. You can also pick a different party leader, which is long overdue in my opinion. *Looks at level 31 Pots*
Also, Belkas somehow got tricked into fighting for Validus. I knew he was a false hero, but damn, really? Is he that desperate to one-up the party that he'd side with such obviously evil people? Maybe he's being brainwashed?
17:30 Boss: Belkas, Jemman, Arne, two Validians
As usual, Arne is resistant to most magic. As for Belkas and Jemman, you can take them out quickly with Laeni's Holy magic. Since you can pick multiple AOE party members, I chose Furi and Quathorn, mostly to increase my chances to simultaneously killing those damn Validians.
23:14 Porthul Town
In town, you'll be able to talk to all party members except for the current leader. To advance the story, go to the Tower of Higher Being. The Validians already took the keystone here, and they're continuing to Solstice. We also learn that Lorac Galadrius is the father of Cael Vaeli and that he regrets banishing his son.
The inn here is ridiculously expensive at 200 G, which is almost the price of a TENT. The weapon shops have some new gear, though you may want to make a judgement call on which new gear to buy and which special gear to upgrade.
