This is one of the more curious differences. In Death Metal's level, there are two rooms with multiple enemy spawns, the "top room" (as I call it) at the top of the stairs and the "big room" at the halfway point. In Wii, Switch, and JP HP, the "top room" has a bunch of enemy spawns, and the "big room" has a second wave of enemies appear after the first wave is dead. In International (INTL) HP, the top room has significantly fewer enemy spawns, and the second wave is outright gone in the big room.
While there is some wonkiness with enemies throughout Heroes' Paradise in all of its forms (which I mostly chalked down to unoptimized porting), this is a fairly notable change, and no other rooms are altered in this fashion. Maybe they thought that the first level was a little too long or challenging when porting HP to a wider audience?
You can see a bunch of general version differences in this video, too. Rather than listing them here, I recommend checking out the guide at the top. Since Switch is just Wii upscaled, I used Switch footage for the higher resolution. That said, there is one quirk: the sound mix on Switch is really wonky, with lots of clipping/distortion issues. My capture settings might be to blame for some of it, but it's really something with the game itself. I'll see if I can mitigate the issue in future videos.
