So yeah, I'm doing it again...sorta. The Panel de Pon bug has got me again, in a big way, and through some techno-voodoo, I can bring you some footage from this game.

This is Panel de Pon, the original game for the Super Famicom. The single game that launched an entire series of differently-named successors, be it Tetris Attack, the port/update for the Super Nintendo, a Puzzle League or Challenge, even up to today with the most recent incarnation of Planet Puzzle League on the DS.

Panel de Pon has even worked its way into Super Smash Bros. through the item Lip's Stick (THIS Lip is the very same that thing belongs to), the bright pink garbage block that Kirby's Stone ability turns him into now and again, and even some trophies and stickers in Melee and Brawl.

With the exception of Ruby's stage, things should all look very familiar...but with fairies rather than Yoshi's Island characters.

I played on Easy because...well...I'm not sure how well I can play this one, because my input is a little clumsier and my recollection as to what might be different insofar as the "story" goes is a little hazy. Besides, it's a good excuse for me to play more Panel de Pon! You the viewer are now my hostage witness...unless you don't want to watch, then I guess I really have nothing to hold you here...

I lay down the same threat that since the Japanese in this game is designed to be readable by children, maybe one day I'll make time and translate it. It's not like I lack the ability to put forth the effort...it's just that I'm lazy and not really inclined towards such a thing.
