Now we head back into enemy territory and we take on the bad guys...Sherbet can't have any more turns, and Lip's always hogging the attention for eight straight battles anyway. Between this and Hard mode, there are just enough turns remaining to afford each of the remaining fairies a chance to shine.

I will take back what I said about the bad guys not seeming to be as threatening as the Yoshi's Island guys, only because I guess I tend to spend too much time looking at their chibi selves between the two player matrices. At least Dragon tends to make a decently ferocious-looking monster, and before he makes any sounds, Sanatos himself at least seems to be somewhat imposing. Just ignore his speaking portrait and again, the silly-looking chibi version squaring off directly against the chosen fairy.

Oh, and speaking of Sanatos...personally, I'd be more willing to call him Thanatos instead, but Panel de Pon on Nintendo Puzzle Collection has clearly romanized his name in favor of the strict-translation purists who will translate his name directly according to the kana rather than the sounds those symbols can represent.

It's like how we have a character named Furil as the protagonist of that game in spite of the fact that the name in question is almost unmistakably supposed to be derivative of the English word "Frill"...but it's not my place to name characters created by someone else and named in both languages as seen fit by those powers that be.

I'm glad to say that the audio woes got straightened out properly, because the results were not pretty for Stage 11...no single part of the way Sanatos or his theme sounded came out right otherwise and his panic theme in particular was just plain painful to listen to.

And then roll credits...and enjoy them here, because the AI opponents were such hams for screen time that there was none left for them at the end of Hard mode...and that's even after considering that I had to split it into three parts.
