Hey guys and welcome to the super condensed version of the patch 6.1 live letter where we are going to get all of the juiciest details, this is gonna be wild because this live letter had a TON of information.
So patch 6.1 is officially called Newfound Adventure and with any main patch includes new MSQ with a new dungeon. 6.1 however will be introducing a brand new side quest line called Tataru’s Grand Endeavour series so Tataru is still a big part of our lives it would seem!
Role quests are actually going to be expanded upon in 6.1 which surprised me, so essentially each role currently has their own special questlines for their roles and they are being further extended. As someone that finished them, I have got to admit I’m curious with this new direction. No spoilers, but this makes me really curious!
The first beast tribe quests of Endwalker are being added for the Arkasodara, those elephant dudes and dudettes -- they will be launched in patch 6.15 so there isn’t any urgent rush needed but to access the beast tribe quests for them you will need to complete two questlines Steppe Child and What’s in a parent!
Also the very meme questline Hildibrand is being expanded upon in 6.15 as well. There will be oh so many memes.
In patch 6.1x, so potentially later into the expansion there is going to be a new piece of content added called Omega BEyond the rift. This isn’t the extreme trial or the unreal trial, this is it’s own stand alone new content.
On that note, there will be a new extreme trial The Endsinger’s Aria and the return of unreal trials with the unreal trial ultima’s bane unreal!
Oh yeah and a new alliance raid we’re happily dubbing wedding savage!
Now for something that I am personally most excited for? The new ultimate raid, dragonsong’s reprise and yeah we got some brand new spicy screenshots of it too! And I absolutely am living for nidhogg and hresvelgr.

Now job adjustments were also mentioned briefly during the live letter, without going too specific we know key balance targets are machinist, white mage and the dragoon is being looked at. But with ultimate being released I’d be surprised if we didn’t get a laundry list of balance changes across the board. Such as in the past live letters they mentioned dragoon animation lock being looked into being alleviated for jumping skills. So more than just a numbers pass here.
Now is another thing I am stupidly excited for, pvp update which we’ve had a lot of past information on I’m going to plop on the screen. Long story short they are introducing a more overwatch 2 style move the payload game mode that is intended to be faster quicker pvp matches that allow people to casually queue in and get out in my mind like overwatch quickplay. This also brings a massive reward update where you can earn rewards by doing any forms of pvp and spend pvp points on awesome rewards! So to say the absolute least this pvp rework makes me stupidly excited for it, I might actually do a disgusting amount of pvp content soon.
The first custom delivery of Endwalker is here with Alphinaud and Alisae’s mom! Coming in patch 6.15.
There is also yet another thing me and many others have been dying for, Ishgardian housing is opening up! Similar to pvp they went into a wild amount of detail about how to obtain a house where you put in your ballot for one house and then one player is randomly selected to win it. This comes with restrictions like you need the gil before you put your ballot in and you can only put a ballot in for one house and at the end of the submission period one person is drawn.
