1Köpenick, a nestled-away Berlin suburb and your urgent destination, may seem to have miraculously survived the relentless pummeling of Allied forces. Of course, with the few remaining Heer troops being executed on the spot by the Red Army, that status is still secure for the time being. The reason, no doubt, is the V2 launching facility hidden in the forested Müggelberge, where Dr. Wolff and his Soviet allies are putting the finishing touches on their gestating devastation.
Before you barge in hot, consider how heavily fortified the Reds have made the area in the short time they were there. A network of trenches, indubitably a relic from German control, are crawling with soldiers and commandoes alike. The gunner nests, itching for action, practically slobber at the chance of encountering a fresh kill. Though it’s somewhat redundant to point it out, the battalion of Soviets standing in your way will not make your climb an easy one.
Still, with London’s fate hanging in the balance, you must expect this to be the perfect stress test of your abilities. Snipe when the thunder allows it, stick to the shadows, and squeeze every trap opportunity that arises, especially when you have to hold out during refueling. The calculated approach may be maddening with such a ticking clock, but it’ll be a futile venture should you foolhardily run into where your brains will splatter the dirt.
