Pokémon Heart Gold Improved Speed Run Segment 21
3This segment started off with me catching a Poliwag with an Ultra Ball I found in Ecruteak City. I dodged all trainers on Route 214 and went into the Ice Cave. The sliding puzzels are easy if you know what to do. The Strength puzzle can be done with moving only one boulder. I also picked up several items in the Ice Cave.
I entered Blackthorn City and I realised I forgot to buy an Escape Rope. I decided to do that here and Feraligatr forgot Surf. It learned Waterfall and Poliwag now has Surf and Whirlpool. I entered the gym and dodged several trainers. Only two trainers are fought and they both have dragons that can be OHKO'd with Ice Fang. The puzzle can be annoying if you don't know what you are doing. I healed up Feraligatr and saved before fighting Clair.
