3The battle against Mars can be tricky and I need to use a X-Attack while battling Golbat. I 2HKO it, but it could his me three times. Bronzor is a 2HKO with Crunch, even if it uses Iron Defense. Purugly is an OHKO with Earthquake thanks to that X-Attack. Torterra barely survived and I flew to Celestic Town. I bought some Hyper Potions and Max Repels here.
It's time for the snowy routes and the trainers can be annoying. The first one has a Tropius that's a 2HKO and it can just not 2HKO me. The next two trainers are easier. I also picked up a couple of items on Route 217, including a Rare Candy and the HM Rock Climb. I finally reached Snowpoint City and entered the gym after getting another Rare Candy. The snowball puzzle is easy and all the trainers here are dodgeable. I also used some Rare Candies in this segment because Candice is very hard for Torterra.
