It is time for the adventure to begin, and I get to do some crafting, and after that, Rei shows some tricks that I can do, like dodging attacks, and I take on some quests given out by NPCs where I have to capture certain species of Pokémon, and then explore Obsidian Fieldlands to fill in the Pokédex.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

The moment you leave Galaxy Hall, Rei or Akari will teach you about crafting, you can craft Poké Balls using materials you can gather when you go out, and you get your own crafting table after the tutorial with them. I do show the rest of Galaxy Hall, and some of the characters, including one NPC that resembles Karen from Pokémon HeartGold & SoulSilver.
When you talk to Anthe, who resembles Darach, the Castle Valet from Platinum, she will give you some new outfits, the Modern Set if you have Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl, which is the Team Galactic Outfit, the Shaymin set if you have Sword or Shield, and the Pikachu and Eevee Mask if you have either of the Let's Go games, and this is where you can buy new outfits. Next door is Edith, she is the one that styles your hair, and going over quests, one is from Beauregard, the man who is at the entrance of Galaxy Hall, and his request is to catch a Wurmple, and you do end up giving up the Wurmple to him, so I recommend catching multiple Pokémon of the same species, and you can find Wurmple in Obsidian Fieldlands.
The next one is from Marli, and she requests you to show her the complete entry for Starly, which requires you get to Research Level 10, which is where the entry is complete, that requires you catch, defeat, and do certain tasks, like see a Pokémon use a specific move. Toshi's quest has you show him a Shinx, this one is really easy, he's the one by the Photo Studio, and the other one is from Dorian, who is by the entrance, and his request is to catch a big Buizel, you can find Buizel in Obsidian Fieldlands by the water when Rei gives you a tutorial, and you do have to give up on that Buizel for that quest, and another thing is Pastures, this is where your Pokémon are kept, and if you release a Pokémon, you earn Grit Dust, which is an item that boosts Effort Levels, or GVs as they are called, they replace EVs and IVs in this game.
When you go out, you learn how to dodge, and you do some quests, I won't go too much into detail about which Pokémon to recommend, it will be going over what you can find in Obsidian Fieldlands, starting from Aspiration Hill, the tasks for Bidoof are how many you have caught, how many heavy specimens, how many you have defeated, and how many you have evolved. Bidoof starts with Rollout and learns Tackle and Bite for level up moves.
Next is Starly, it starts with Gust and learns Quick Attack and Aerial Ace, which are great moves, for Starly, one of the tasks is to catch a Starly without being spotted. For Shinx, there is how many times you see a specific move, those moves are Quick Attack and Bite, and there is how many times you have defeated a Shinx with a Ground-type move.
Wurmple is a Pokémon you can find there, and it evolves into either Silcoon or Cascoon at random, and the tasks are how many light specimens, how many Wurmple you caught without being spotted, and how many times you have seen it use Poison Sting. It evolves very early, and the nice thing about catching a bunch of them is to try and see which form you end up getting.
Buizel are quite aggressive, and for tasks, there is large specimens, defeating it with an Electric-type move, and how many times it has used Aqua Jet. Buizel is a solid Water-type option if you didn't pick Oshawott, and it is a fast Pokémon to work with the battle system for this game.
Ponyta can be found in Horseshoe Plains, and there is an Alpha Rapidash in the area which you cannot catch, it is too powerful at this point in the game. Ponyta starts with Tackle and Ember, and it can learn Flame Wheel and Hypnosis through level up, and for tasks, how many you have defeated with Water-type moves, how many times you see it use Ember, catching heavy specimens, and feeding it food.
The rare encounter is Eevee, it can evolve into eight different forms, it requires Friendship to get Espeon in the day, Umbreon at night, or Sylveon if it knows a Fairy-type move, Eevee learns Baby-Doll Eyes at Level 18, and for tasks, catching it without being spotted, feeding it food, and how many times it has used Quick Attack. It is a good Pokémon with many possible evolutions to choose from.
You can find Drifloon at night, and for tasks, it is seeing it use Hypnosis and Confusion, defeating it with a Ghost-type move, and catching it at night. It is a solid Ghost/Flying-type Pokémon, and it does come with Hypnosis, making it good early on, and it does get some nice moves like Hex and Mystical Fire through level up.
