I enter the Survival Area, and while there isn't much to do there, there is Route 226, which has a bunch of walls that require Rock Climb, and there are a bunch of Trainers to fight there, like Ace Trainers, a Bird Keeper, and a Dragon Tamer, and there is a house that belongs to a man who can update the Pokédex so I can view entries in other languages.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

The encounters on Route 226 aren't much different to Route 225, and the Survival Area doesn't have much there, you can get the TM for Facade, which is a good move for Pokémon that can have Guts, like Swellow or Heracross. You can find a hidden Max Revive by the house with no importance, this was where one of the Move Tutors would be in Platinum.
Route 226 has a lot of walls to use Rock Climb on, and there are a bunch of Trainers to battle with, and after that, there is a house in the middle of the water, and this is where the Meister lives, and he will upgrade your Pokédex to view their Pokédex entries in different languages, which was the case in the original games, but you have that function right from the start, and he will trade you a German Magikarp for a Finneon. There was a way to softlock yourself, that is if the Finneon is the only Pokémon that knows Surf, you don't have Rare Candies or any fishing rods, or a Pokémon with Fly, and if you save, you are stuck there permanently, but the only way you can get a Finneon is with the Good Rod, preventing the softlock from happening.
In the original games, the following Pokémon that had foreign Dex entries were Ekans, Pikachu, Psyduck, Ponyta, Staryu, Magikarp, Wobbuffet, Heracross, Sneasel, Teddiursa, Houndour, Wingull, Slakoth, and Roselia.
I will go over which Pokémon you can encounter on Route 226, the Swarm encounter is Krabby, which you can evolve into Kingler right away, it has high Attack and it does come with Crabhammer and Swords Dance right away, and it learns some nice TM moves like Rock Slide and X-Scissor. Krabby can be found in the Grand Underground where it can know moves like Knock Off, Night Slash, Agility, Flail, and many other moves.
For fishing encounters, you can get Horsea with the Good Rod, and Seadra with the Super Rod, Horsea can be found in the Grand Underground, where it can come with moves like Muddy Water, Outrage, and Clear Smog. There is a 5% chance you can get a Dragon Scale on a Horsea or Seadra, you can also find that on Dratini as well, when equipped to Seadra and traded, it will evolve into Kingdra, a great Water/Dragon-type Pokémon with well balanced stats and is really good on rain teams.
The rare encounter with the Super Rod is Relicanth, I do recommend Rock Head if you want to use it, as it is one of the few Pokémon to learn Head Smash. Relicanth's best stat is Defense, and it has a good Attack stat to make use of moves like Waterfall and Earthquake, it is a decent Pokémon, specially once you get Head Smash on it, and there is a 5% chance of finding a Deep Sea Scale on wild Relicanth.
Then for version exclusive Pokémon obtained through Surf, first up is Seel and its evolved form Dewgong, and you can find them in the Grand Underground, they are exclusive to Brilliant Diamond, and can come with some nice moves like Stockpile, Perish Song, Horn Drill, Encore, and Fake Out. Dewgong does face competition with other Water/Ice-types like Lapras and Cloyster, and it's not too bad of a Pokémon, it's just outclassed by better options.
In Shining Pearl, you can find Spheal and Sealeo, and this one technically is not version exclusive, you can find Walrein in the Grand Underground in both versions, and in Brilliant Diamond, you can breed Walrein to get Spheal, and then evolve it into Sealeo. It does get some nice Egg Moves like Stockpile, Curse, Fissure, Yawn, Belly Drum, and many other moves, and it does get Surf and Ice Beam, Walrein does have a high HP stat, it's a solid Pokémon to use.
This route does have some items you can pick up, like a Lagging Tail, which is like the Iron Ball where the Pokémon moves last when held, and you can get the TM for Energy Ball outside of the Grand Underground, which is a nice move to have on a Grass-type Pokémon, and there are some Pokémon that learn it as a coverage move, like Alakazam, Gengar, Mismagius, and many other Pokémon.
