Pokémon Platinum Speed Run Segment 14 Part 1
3Another battle with my rival. This time, all his Pokémon are fully evolved and I need a X-Speed to be faster than them. Starapor uses Double Team again, but this time Return isn't allowed to miss. 2 Returns are needed for both Staraptor and the new Heracross. The latter has also a dangerous Aerial Ace. Infernape and Roserade are both OHKO'd by Earthquake and Floatzel falls to Razor Leaf.
Then I entered the gym and fought all but one trainers. All the Steelix barely survive my Earthquakes. I also used one of my Ethers here to bring back my Earthquake PP. One trainer has also a powerful Scizor. Another annoying trainer is one with 3 Bronzor. Here I needed to use an X-Attack to be able to 2HKO the Bronzor before they become really dangerous.
Then it's time to challenge Byron, the only Gym Leader I didn't save before. His entire team is weak to Earthquake and with an X-Attack, Torterra is completely unstoppable. If his Steelix barely survives, it will use Ice Fang, but I think that it's a certain OHKO. I splitted the segment up when I left the gym.
