Here are the team of Pokémon in this video, which was decided by the random number generator.
P1 Team: Nidorino, Teddiursa, Spearow, Growlithe, Metapod, Machop
CPU Team: Jumpluff, Misdreavus, Doduo, Croconaw, Mankey, Psyduck

Then, I will list the moves for each Pokémon in battle, starting with my team.
Nidorino: Strength, Double Kick, Thunder, Horn Drill
Teddiursa: Slash, Faint Attack, Earthquake, Attract
Spearow: Drill Peck, Frustration, Steel Wing, Mirror Move
Growlithe: Flamethrower, Dig, Sunny Day, Roar
Metapod: Harden
Machop: Cross Chop, Seismic Toss, Earthquake, Double Team

The CPU's team of Pokémon and moves.
Jumpluff: Mega Drain, Headbutt, Stun Spore, Leech Seed
Misdreavus: Shadow Ball, Thunder, Psywave, Pain Split
Doduo: Drill Peck, Tri Attack, Steel Wing, Double Team
Croconaw: Hydro Pump, Ice Punch, Slash, Scary Face
Mankey: Cross Chop, Strength, Double Team, Screech
Psyduck: Surf, Dig, Swagger, Psych Up

There might be times where I do many attempts to see if I can get one where I can get a good result, but a win isn't always going to happen, sometimes when I can't even get past one Pokémon, I swap it out for another Pokémon. I originally had Kadabra on the CPU team, but swapped it out for Mankey as none of the Pokémon on my team had a way to get past Kadabra.
I see that the AI is better than in Pokémon Stadium when they would bring in a Pokémon with a good match-up against the Pokémon that I have currently on the field. What I had to hope for was Mankey leading, and for Machop's Cross Chop to land a hit, because Cross Chop's accuracy of 80% is very hard to work with in most cases.
I do see that some of the Rental Pokémon can use combo attacks, from what I can see, Psyduck has Swagger and Psych Up, it can use Swagger to raise the Attack stat of the opponent by 2 stages, then use Psych Up to copy the stat change, and this will increase Dig's power. The hard opponent to deal with was Misdreavus, that thing would use Pain Split to make it harder to take down, my best option against it was Teddiursa and use Attract to make it so that Misdreavus would only attack 50% of the time. Metapod has no use in battle if Harden is the only move it can use, the only way to use Metapod is to switch it in and let it get taken out in battle before sending out another Pokémon.
There are types where type advantages are not everything, while Growlithe does the advantage over Jumpluff, the disadvantage Growlithe has is that Jumpluff is faster and knows Headbutt, this has a 30% chance of flinching the opponent, and there can be times where the opponent can get off a flinch of two before I even get to attack.
