Here are the team of Pokémon in this video, which was decided by the random number generator.
P1 Team: Zapdos, Aerodactyl, Bellsprout, Omanyte, Electabuzz, Ekans
CPU Team: Clefable, Hypno, Doduo, Nidorina, Weezing, Pinsir

Then, I will list the moves for each Pokémon in battle, starting with my team.
Zapdos: Thunderbolt, Sky Attack, Thunder Wave, Flash
Aerodactyl: Fly, Hyper Beam, Supersonic, Dragon Rage
Bellsprout: Razor Leaf, Growth, Mega Drain, Stun Spore
Omanyte: Surf, Ice Beam, Double-Edge, Double Team
Electabuzz: ThunderPunch, Mega Punch, Psychic, Thunder Wave
Ekans: Earthquake, Acid, Screech, Body Slam

The CPU's team of Pokémon and moves.
Clefable: Sing, Tri Attack, Minimize, Ice Beam
Hypno: Hypnosis, Headbutt, Dream Eater, Meditate
Doduo: Drill Peck, Tri Attack, Double Team, Reflect
Nidorina: Toxic, Thunder, Double-Edge, Ice Beam
Weezing: Sludge, Hyper Beam, Fire Blast, Selfdestruct
Pinsir: Strength, Harden, Seismic Toss, Guillotine

I got a really good team for this one, three Pokémon have ways to paralyze opponents, Zapdos and Electabuzz with Thunder Wave, Bellsprout with the less accurate Stun Spore, and Ekans which has a chance of paralyzing opponents with Body Slam, but it cannot paralyze Normal-types like Clefable or Doduo.
I do have to watch out for Ice Beam from Clefable and Nidorina when using Zapdos, because there is the chance of being frozen, which is kind of like a knockout as the Pokémon cannot defrost once they are frozen, well aside from using a Fire-type move on them, there might be a chance in a later Free Battle video where I get really lucky with the freeze against one of the CPU Pokémon.
I did have a good start with Aerodactyl in this battle, even if its moves aren't the best there is, specially with Hyper Beam always making the user recharge even after taking out the opponent's Pokémon, because in the Game Boy games, if Hyper Beam took out the opponent, the user wouldn't need to recharge, but in Stadium, this isn't the case.
I don't know if this Hypno has like one of the worse movesets out of any Rental Pokémon, its only Psychic-type move is Dream Eater, which only works when the target is asleep, and Hypnosis doesn't have that good of accuracy, having 60%, and Hypno isn't even that fast of a Pokémon, and there is even a chance of the Pokémon waking up after being put to sleep, and Hypno does have Meditate to boost its Attack and use Headbutt to deal some damage, if only they gave it like Confusion so that it at least has a Psychic-type move that can at least do anything. This game was where Hypno was at least able to do well with its Special stat, because in later generations, that Special stat became its Special Defense, and it had a lower Special Attack stat, this was one of the few Pokémon that was nerfed in the generation shift after the Special split.
