14This video will show you a quick easy fix to the error message 'Video too short. Please try importing a longer clip' when trying to upload a Boomerang video on Instagram. Boomerang videos are supposed to be 3 seconds in length, without audio, and will loop endlessly - if the camera on your device is of a high frame rate, then at times the Boomerang app will capture slightly under 3 seconds of video, causing the Instagram app to reject said video due to it not meeting the three second requirement. If you can lower the video capture settings (such as quality or speed) of your rear-facing camera within the Boomerang app, you can try that, and if not, instead of using the rear-facing camera, use the front-facing camera (which is generally of lower capture quality to begin with): the video may not be as sharp or smooth during playback, but chances are you will easily be able to capture the required 3 seconds video length needed to be uploaded to Instagram.
