Radahn and Return to the Full Moon Queen - Elden Ring pt.40 (2022-03-01)
0The Radahn fight begins in a vast desert. Even maddened by rot, he's still capable of putting up a ridiculous fight. Immediately upon setting foot on the battlefield, I'm assaulted by meteoric blasts from Radahn's archery at such long distance that I can only spend a minute or two trying to get close enough to cast spells.
After figuring out where I can and can't ride Torrent, I managed to deal a pretty decent amount of damage - but Radahn's meteor-soulmass continues to hit me before I can react. If I had looked a little closer, I would've noticed that Radahn has a very specific animation before the meteors get launched.
Speaking of having a closer look, I didn't notice that all of the summon signs aren't players - they're the NPCs from the festival!
Rather than continue attempting Radahn, I headed back to Raya Lucaria to see if Rock Sling would give me the edge I needed to take on Rennala. After a few false starts, having a non-physical damage type gave me the edge I needed to win the fight. With Rennala dead, I can use her Remembrance to get one the strongest Staves in the game, and a spell that requires a staggering 70 Intelligence.
