Starting this session with my ongoing relief that I can get a renewable source of upgrade materials while speculating on whether the shack I landed at might have another Bell Bearing Hunter.
I ended up heading back to the site of that Academy Glintstone Key I found earlier. I had another encounter with Glintstone Dragon Smarag and decided to see whether I could achieve victory there. While fighting a magic resistant foe of that scale is reminiscent of my brick wall with Rennala, at least Torrent makes avoiding the magical onslaught a little easier. Also, while Smarag is a lot bigger and tankier than Rennala, they also happen to be a lot less aggressive and their attacks don't track nearly as well.
I ended the session with a trip back towards Sellia in Caelid - not only does it offer the possibility for more new Sorceries, but there's a couple of important NPCs in that area as well.
