Red Alert 3 Uprising Commander's Challenges "Par Time only" - Mission 47th - The Motherland
Hello ladies and gentlemen! Stimer Games is here! I've finally started cooking some epic content to release. It's Red Alert 3 Uprising Commander's challenges, except with additional rules that i came up this Spring.
Rules of the challenge:
1.Go strictly by the path that is unlocked over time, no skipping and no leaping
2.Finish each secondary mission before coming onto the next primary mission
3.Always go for Par Time, never finishing the mission without par time and then finishing it under with the unlocked unit or the fully unlocked tech
4.OP tactics, AI manipulation and oversight exploits are allowed (Dojo Rush, Empire air units swarm, other map tricks and etc. are allowed)
5.Good luck commando
Number of attempts before the final: 1
Kirov - Very hard (1 v 3; Soviets (Vera Belova, Oleg Vodnik and Nikolai Moskvin); Fogged map) [The Motherland]
Well, we're on land of Soviet Union. Should you expect forces that will never give up? Absolutely. All 3 of them are painful to deal with: Vera will go for air units most of the time, aka she'll terrorize you with Twinblades. Moskvin will go with dirty tricks like Terror Drones. Oleg on the other hand will rely on direct force like infantry, tanks and anti-air.
Not only that, all 3 of them will definitely spam Mortar-cycles at you. Those are one of those units that are absolute gold tool... in AI's hands. Yes, they'll bother you with their mortars. And all 3 of them will try to go for Kirovs and Super Weapons. We don't want neither of them. Along with that expect units like Kirovs and artilleries.
Last thing to point out before Strategy explaining - War Academies. Remember those from the mission "Are You Experienced"? Well... imagine the same map, but you don't automatically start with them, and that there are 3 AIs instead of 1 and it's not Allies but Soviets. Yes you can of course capture them but eventually you'll lose them.
Alright, so my strategy here: I could go with Empire VX Choppers spam... but it didn't really work out... perhaps because i had my arms dislocated or something, i dunno.
So instead i went with Allies: Went to tier 3 with Defense Bureau as fast as possible, walled my Refineries so no terror drones could access them and put some base defense. Basic Multigunner Turrets to fight against any possible air harassments, and then deployed 2-4 Pacifiers. They outrange basically anything and one-shot most of stuff if it doesn't escape in time, except for very tanky targets.
After establishing proper base defense, i went for Chronosphere, Boot Camp and Armor Facility. Also took the protocol that can reveal the area for me, just in case, altho it's often revealed when enemy builds a super weapon. All 3 buildings are necessary to me: Armor Facility for IFVs or Riptides if you want to save 50$ to transport Tanya; Boot Camp for Tanya, and Chronosphere for teleporting Tanya. You could say that i could use Century Bombers instead but... i haven't unlocked them yet and so i have no access to them xd.
With Tanya my main targets are production buildings and super weapons, it's to disable the AI and put it away from being threatening to me. Top Priority enemy - Vera, because of Twinblades. Then... it all depends on who builds Super Weapons the first, because you obviously don't want a vacuum rocket to hit you. Neither you want a Kirov to arrive.
If you're lucky, in one teleport you can take care of 2 out of 3 AIs. On the background of that start producing Harbingers, with 4 Oil Derricks and 2 Refineries you should be alright. After you've disabled the production of all 3 AIs, send your Harbingers to clean the rest of trash, killing Anti-air ground units with their proton weapons.
The 4th unmentioned enemy in this mission - Par Time. Sometimes you just... may not be able to do everything in time.
Key units? Harbingers, Pacifiers, Tanya. First are going clean all the mess that is left, second is our main anti-ground base defense, and third is our main tool at disabling AI.
Kirov is a tanky air unit that can bring chaos if not taken care of in time and if the AI doesn't have a lot of anti-air. Would we use it alot? Eh... i guess for one mission? We'll see it
And so this is where we leave our Soviets alone: Vera compliments that the fight was pretty good, Oleg couldn't believe the loss and his mother at least can't see it, and Moskvin... Moskvin goes depressed mode.
