REKT! High Octane Stunts, or just REKT as it's sometimes called, isn't a typical race game at all. It's more of a skateboard-park-with-cars type affair! However, one car in the game, the MVP 48, a play on Ayrton Senna's MP4/8 from 1993. It even comes with a sticker of the outline of the Monaco Grand Prix track on the bottom of the car!
You can upgrade the performance of the car by winning coins in-game; here I've made it up to MK II level, so it's a bit quicker than how it comes out-of-the-box. Speaking of which, unlocking the car requires you to score 5,000,000 points in one event, so you better get chaining stunts a lot!
Sound is okay (I've turned off music here). There are some point-to-point tracks in the game, where you have to pass through checkpoints in crazy positions (e.g. the sky!), but I didn't show those here.
There are 4 arenas to race around, which change colour as you score more points. If you fail to stick a landing you get REKT and lose any points you've been accruing. You also need ot keep doing stunts/drifting/boosting or your points will be banked, losing any multiplier that you may have gained from chaining stunts together.
1. Race Start (Monza): 0:00 There are no real-life tracks (or opponents), but I go flat out around the walls here, to try to replicate the speed of Monza!
2. Spray Effects (Silverstone): 0:26 There's no wet weather, but the colour palette can go blue sometimes!
3. Tunnel & View (Monaco): 0:44 Here's a tunnel/building section. Not really Monaco but there's some skyscrapers!
4. Wet Track (Spa-Francorchamps): 1:06 What's more exciting than Eau Rouge? How about multiple loop-the-loops!
5. Pitstop (Interlagos): 1:36 There's no way to actually fix your car; I drive round a random bowl with time extension icons in, but nothing gets fixed!
6. Huge Crash (Montreal): 1:55 Again, not a real track, and there are no other cars to crash into... but the fourth arena has these epic towers to launch off of! Plus, if you crash enough, your car can briefly catch fire! It's just a visual effect though, and wears off if you drive away!
