Leon and Ada continue navigating through the sewers with Ada engaging in a shootout with Anette Birkin, Leon jumping in to protect Ada and being shot through the shoulder as a result. While he is passed out from his injury, Ada pursues Anette, resulting in a brief standoff during which Anette questions Ada's motives and attacks her regarding Sherry's pendant that she is wearing, having found it dropped in the sewage treatment plant earlier. After a brief physical scuffle, Anette is thrown into the sewer by Ada who discovers that the pendant contains a G-Virus sample and is left stranded in a part of the sewer, eventually being found by Leon with two proceeding into the disused facility recently used by Claire and Sherry to enter NEST, being attacked by an unseen clawed monster en route. While investigating the factory, Leon is once again attacked by T-00, a bio-organic bioweapon based on Tyrant that was airdropped into Raccoon City by Umbrella to test its combat effectiveness and which has pursued him since he entered RPD station. Managing to temporarily bring it down and summon a cargo elevator meant to take them to NEST. While travelling down, clawed monster returns, wounding Ada while stabbing into the train cart used by the two. Leon heads out, encountering severely mutated version of the monster that he fought in the sewers and engaging it in combat on the elevator, managing to force it to retreat as the elevator stops due to overheated engine, forcing Leon to leave Ada behind and head out into the underground section of NEST where elevator had stopped. However, as he enters the section, elevator starts working again and continues descending towards NEST with Ada still onboard, stranding Leon within the facility's basement...
