My team struggled with this fight, shockingly enough

But first: Shadow Remi and Sakuya aren't too different from their previous fight. The main changes are to the doppelganger's defensive stats: Remilia is slightly weaker to MYS and slightly more resistant to FIR, while Sakuya now has no weak affinities. Sakuya specifically also resists most ailments including PAR (meaning Wriggle's PSN/PAR counter is less effective) though PSN and HVY still work, and you can still fish for instant DTH on Sakuya with Reisen and Yuyuko. The biggest change is the fact that Sakuya now uses Private Square 10 times in a row (instead of just twice in a row) at 50% HP. Her Private Square spam, along with the duo's frightening offense in general, are your main roadblocks to victory.

The first thing you should do is adjust your Level Up bonuses for your tanks and supports. Your Slot 1 and Slot 2 tanks need higher HP to tank Remilia's Gungnir while your supports in Slots 3 and 4 need equipment that will help them survive Sakuya's AOE's. Note that Remi sometimes targets the rightmost slots with Gungnir (as Kanako learned in this fight) but IMO you should treat that as potential bad RNG than an inevitability. Another precaution you can take against Remilia is using debuffs to bring her ATK down. Besides having the very best damage boosting equipment, your attackers will want some ACC boosting items, as Sakuya and Remilia are fond of dodging at the worst moments. You'll also want a big attacker (like Yuugi or Nitori) to deal with Sakuya when she hits her berserk phase.

Anyway, this fight was hell for my party. Sanae and Kanako just couldn't withstand Sakuya's AOE's even from Slot 3 and 4. Kanako and Suwako were also not super ideal for this fight (none of them could naturally hit any of Remilia's weaknesses, except for Mad Dance which was blunted by it's DEF-targeting formula). Here were the changes:

-Herbalist Aya: I had to really compact my party, so Aya ended up being on Herb of Awakening duty. Aya was actually pretty clutch for this fight, between her ability to escape and pass turns during Sakuya's Private Square spam and her passive reducing WND damage.

-Enchanter Ran: I actually run Monk Ran normally (I like the lowered ATB on the spells + the auto buffs to all stats per turn). Enchanter's skills allowed Rans backrow buffs to turn into partial heals for the front row.

-Warrior Suwako: While I've used Warrior Suwako a few times I was forced to use her here purely to abuse Remilia's light weakness to FIR.

-Oracle Kanako: Despite her bad luck in this run, Oracle was great for boosting Kanako's Mad Dance skill in the second half of the fight.

-Transcendent Yuugi: I usually go for Gambler Yuugi but Sakuya's AOE's made that too risky. Went with Transcendent for the general boost to all stats (including DEF)

The other characters had their usual Subclasses (i.e. Elementalist Miko, Toxicologist Wriggle, Guardian Meiling, Healer Eirin, Enchanter Sanae, Sorcerer Yuyuko). Reimu also had Enchanter which is something I wouldn't have done if I'd noticed it; I probably would have given her Guardian, just for the aggro (I was relying on her group healing + front row healing death passive, specifically during the Sakuya phase. Luckily, I didn't need it on my run).

The winning strategy kind of explains itself: play defensively while Sakuya is alive, relying on my tanky supports, Ran's backrow buffs and Wriggle's PSN do most of the work. Then once Sakuya has been Nuked, then it's a damage race to kill Remilia. The most amusing thing about this fight is that I pretty much played it like a Labyrinth of Touhou 1 fight. Miko (or rather Komachi), Meiling, Ran and Aya was pretty much go to for most of LOT1's late game and Plus Disk bosses.
