The marathon is about to begin! But everything can be a little crazy when you run with other fellow runners in this fun game called Sheep Happens! You will be one of the participants that will run on the field, and your goal here is to keep on running. You must avoid the hurdles by jumping over them. But aside from these obstacles, you must also jump over the other runners or you might crash. You can also jump onto them and create combos for extra coins. Sheep are also joining the race, and you can ride on them to help you reach farther distances.

Overview:

The name of the game is suggestive and things do happen in this game. You’re a gladiator in ancient Greece. Instead of smashing skulls your objective is to smash Hermes’ face but it won’t be that easy. You’re on the run to chase down Hermes but you’ll need to pass the obstacles like racing bars, demons, other runners and pitfalls. You do get help from unlikely allies like a bull and of course the sheep. Make sure you get the necessary items to get to Hermes and fight him.

Aesthetics:

The game’s visuals are very nice and you wouldn’t think they were made for these kinds of games. The graphics alone would pass for a handheld or one of the earlier consoles. The intro also shows a comic book style presentation but there aren’t texts used or any voice over. Then again you can pretty much understand what the story is all about. The game’s audio is also good with a music making you feel that you’re in for the fight of your life as you chase Hermes. The overall presentation of the game is pretty much good.

Gameplay:

The gameplay is a mixture of point action and a moving platformer game. The first objective which really is just the main gameplay is to go as far as you can. In the track you must pick up coins which you can use to buy upgrades and character aesthetics. You can only jump to avoid the obstacles like other running people, track obstacles, demons and specific sheep. You will also be able to pick up power-ups in the track. These would include a shield for an added hit, a magnet to help you get the coins with ease, a bull that you can use as a booster and a sheep that helps you gain speed. When you’re not riding you’re basically running on your feet which you’ll get faster as you progress in the game. There is also the ability you can use which is gliding. When you still have your cape you can glide down to gain distance by slowing down your descent. When you do get hit, you will lose your cape for the first time. You can get your cape sometime later in the track. When you do get hit without your cape or any mount and shield then you will lose one heart. When you get hit without any hearts then you die. You can upgrade your hearts up to five but restarting a level without any hearts is usually the process. You can choose to refill your hearts at the start of each level. Now we go to the final part which is the battle against Hermes. When you do battle Hermes you need to hit the demons flying to damage Hermes. You will have a hard time in the early stages without any upgrades. That’s because Hermes can deal a lot of damage. Just make sure to upgrade the necessary things and win the game.
