00:25 OBS Studio/encoding, 1:48 NVENC, 3:55 AMD APU’s, 6:38 what I would like to see, 9:35 6500XT, 12:14 RTX 3050, 14:07 Ti video cards, 17:50 AMD could dominate Streaming

I wanted to share my thoughts on the recent announcements at the recent keynotes/CES. I added in some thoughts of what could be done outside of this

I did mess up on my wording. I meant to include MOBA's, browser games, TV PC and other low end uses are a good use for APU's as well

TLDR:

There are two main encoding methods. That is x264 (CPU) and NVENC (Nvidia video cards). NVENC is a separate chip on the video card that processes on its own. If you change resolution, use Psycho Tuning or the likes, then it will draw resources from the GPU itself

I was saying that I am hoping for better AMD APU's on the desktop as I think they could have many uses for gaming and Streaming. Perhaps AMD could make their own hybrid encoder

I am concerned the 6500XT won't do well performance wise. Historically AMD drivers have been more hit and miss than Nvidia as well

I am tired of Nvidia making Super or Ti video cards. Imo they should stick to a simple line up and focus on that (for stock and price reasons)
