Souls-Mite - Episode 4: Bee-oh

Did this session a day early due to the holiday. But since I've got Thursday off anyway, I had the usual amount of time to dedicate to the stream.
Well, I managed to kill one of the Dreamers this time. That's got to count for something, right? Admittedly, Deepnest wasn't exactly a cakewalk with the lantern. Still, it beats traversing Metroidvanian level design completely blind. Especially when you consider all of the spikes the area apparently had all along. Glad I didn't bother doing that one path before I got the lantern and just took KI's advice to get the hell out of there -- even if it ended up taking FOREVER.
Granted, it wasn't exactly a walk in the park to get there. But on the plus side, at least there was a Stag Station connected to the final area. Too bad I didn't realize that until *after* I fell down into the annoying portion where you have to climb back up. Oh well, at least I didn't lose any shadows during this session.
I managed to finally upgrade my nail for the first time. I also obtained the "ground pound" power-up KI kept telling me about -- ironically right after they decided to call it a night. Fought a few of those gravesite bosses too, so I managed to get a bunch of Essence. I don't really have much else to say about the game itself, because it seems like I've hit the point where it's just about prepping for the finale.
That being said, I had a brief chat with KI last night. Turns out they saw my last journal and since I'm running low on time and have already pretty much agreed to go further with Hollow Knight at my own leisure via "Play Extend!!", it looks like I'm going to go for the worst ending to speed things up. After all, this game follows the same rules as SotN: getting the bad ending doesn't kill your save and lets you continue traversing the map until you get all the necessary requirements for a better ending. Hopefully, that'll mean that I can beat the game by the end of the month after all. At this point, I'll just be happy if I manage to finish the bonus streams before Christmas at this rate.
