0:13 “Wakame” is a 90s meme term that uses “wakame,” a type of edible seaweed, as a silly version of “wake wakaranai,” meaning “I don’t understand.” I assume she’s trying to use an older meme because she’s been singing older songs in this stream, although this one in particular is from 2008.
0:36 As usual, Soya uses a variety of first-person pronouns in this clip, which are especially worth noting because of her use of her nickname. The ones she uses in this clip are, in order of appearance:
Ore: Very masculine and very casual choice. A girl using this will virtually always be doing so parodically, in this case trying to make herself sound (at least in manner of speaking) like a hip and cool rock star (or whatever).
Watashi: Very common first-person, generally considered a good default. Leans slightly formal and slightly feminine.
Soya: Her nickname and generally her usual first-person pronoun (sometimes...), “Soya” is different from her family name’s normal pronunciation of “Souya,” although she’ll often just pronounce that as “Soya” anyway. She changed her first person pronoun from “Ichika” to “Soya” so that people would call her Soya because it’s easier to egosearch.
1:30 MatsuJun refers to Japanese celebrity Matsumoto Jun.
2:24 This is a reference to the title of the song by Aimyon she sings next, Ai o Tsutaetaida Toka.
3:35 “Biri” can mean a number of different things, but probably the connotation relevant here is: The bottom (of a list, etc), the buttocks, intercourse, an affair, lewdness, a prostitute, and a vulgar exclamation/swear. (Compare with the English adjectives “base” and “low,” and further with words like “degenerate” and “depraved” that imply a metaphorically ‘low’ state.)
3:49 In Japanese, the term “right arm” is used like how we say “right-hand man” in English. Soya instead substitutes “right shoulder,” for some reason.
