i didn't knew what to expect from this one, in one hand, SMB hacks for the most part are decent with the only exception being "SMB 1X", and when i discussed my initial thoughts with some friends they said who the author of this hack was, then it all made sense

Gameplay:
Upon selecting your difficulty mode (Normal in my case) you get dropped right into the hack, no intro, no story, no nothing, the thread says this hack is just a mere dream with familiar worlds merging into each other, and you must go through 9 worlds just because. You control Mario yet again, and i hope you get used to the stiff physics because through all the hack is gonna bite you hard in the ass, now, i have played the OG SMB quite a few times including the all stars rendition of both games and i don't remember these being this bad, maybe i'm misremembering or something but it just didn't feel right, i ended adjusting to these near the end of the hack so i just didn't enjoyed the hack at all. The hack was hard, it really was, but i feel like the shitty controls did the 80% of the job and the level design the other 20%, because for the most part levels are ok, they're fine but the physics ruins it for me, and it's not a secret that SMB Physics sucks, still, my main gripe with the hack was just that, the physics, other than that this hack was a pain, completing majority of stages felt like a relief more than an accomplishment. The hack and the thread makes fun of this being bad and terrible and no, acknowledging this doesn't make this better, at least for me, also fuck level 4-3 and his stupid noid "Gotcha". Now let's jump to the positive stuff, for one as i said, some levels are quite good with good ideas and stuff, i specially liked the aesthetic of the levels, and 9-2 is a personal favorite, the enemies frozen on screen were a concept i don't see much in hacks, but the biggest surprise for me was the final boss, at first i though it was just tatanga or bowser in the sky but then Kabula from Kirby Dreeamland/Super star Ultra comes out to play, it was good stuff, unfortunately it didn't help the hack that much for me

Music:
the selection is yet again, varied, taking music from several sources of games, Sonic, kirby, alcahest, pokemon, etc.

Graphics:
Just like the Music stuff, the graphics were varied and made the hack less repetitive

Conclusion:
On his own this hack is good, it's varied and the level design could of been fine with the regular physics, but the stiff controls puts this hack so low in my list, yes the physics killed it for me what about it?
6/10
