Part 2: Rocky Smokey Summit

World 1 was a rollercoaster of emotions but for the most part good, World 2 however seems to have difficult levels all over the place, and is in this world where i make this question, Why does the Yoshi/Dragon Coins not save with the midpoint? this hack was created in 2014/2015, the first DC patch was released in 2015, you all could of used the patch and no, i don't buy the ASM making conflict, you had people who know and make wonderful ASM to easily fix the issue. Now, maybe the hack was released before the patch who knows, even then, you could make a personal patch for it but let's jump right into the levels shall we?

W2-1 - Waterlogged Hiking
A good beginning for W2, making use of the water and turtles to create a nice challenge. The ending with the star can mess your head but it's nothing too bad, nice level
W2-2 - Perilous Excavation
This is a mixed bag for me, in one hand, i like the graphic choice being cave story, and with a good setup with enemies n stuff, in the other hand, some setups can be a bit tricky, not to mention, why do i have to wait after i die in the midpoint? I don't like doing nothing after every time i die in the level standing in the midpoint waiting for the p-switch to fade. The secret exit is also a bit dumb, making it a one tile corridor and also having you lure cement boos to reach the spot, also also, the pipe that leads to the secret exit is in a weird spot and you need either fly or a spring, and having the spring is quite the challenge
W2-3 - Summit of the Gods
You already know what do i think of this level, First half and to some extent, normal exit is good, but the second half, the secret exit is stupid. It's a dumb mix of gimmicks that just don't work, it's bad, it's terrible, moving on
W2-4 - Switching Factory
A DKC factory themed level with platforms, insta-death spikes, hazards and the blackout gimmick, it's neat, it's a good level all things considered, this one also has a Switch palace
W2-5 - The Great Christmas Operation
Ice level with the gimmick being keys resprited as gifts and phantos, nothing too stressful but can be a bit annoying at times, it's a good level
W2-6 - The Sky
This one seems to be done by a newbie, judging by the structure of the level and the tiles used, with spiny enemies, lakitus and platforms, it's an ok level, moving on
W2-A - I Bought Some Load-Bearing Poles
This one, oh boi this one, this one has a good gimmick but a bad excecution, as a result this level ends being TERRIBLE, the pillars are janky as hell, the designer makes you jump in one tile platforms, there's no indicators at all about where the pillars are going to appear, there's no midpoint, no items and there's a lot of enemies in tight spaces WHY?!, this level is awful, it's a wasted potential, moving on before i rant harder
W2-B - Rainy Mountain
This one is an epileptic level, be aware, this level is ok, having lightning and slopes with some munchers, it can be challenging i give it that but idk, this is just ok for me
W2-C - Recycle
An Anikiti level, a long one with multiple rooms for switches and Dragon coins, oh boi. This is another mixed bag for me, the level itself is alright but it has some problems, mostly the enemy placement and some disappearing ones. This can cause trouble to the player. This level also had one missing coin and i originally thought it was a glitch due to the huge level but no, you had to jump in one hole to get the coin, it's stupid? Yes, It's Clever? sorta? i mean there's no indicator whatsoever about that, i learned that from raocow so yeah, bad design choice. Level is fine
W2-Castle - Castle of Ice
This one looks neat, and has thwomps shooting sound waves at you, and while i like that this level also is a mix bag for me, specially the Dragon Coins which are a pain to get, mainly the first one. I struggled a lot to focus on the three things, ending the level, getting the switch palace (because yes, we needed 2 of the 4 palaces in World 2) and collectiong the Yoshi Coins. This level went from fun to frustrating. And it's only W2 of 5, oh boi
