I use Bowser for Classic Mode, and I like the changes that made to Bowser in this game, because in previous Smash Bros. games, Bowser was one of the slowest characters in the game, in Super Smash Bros. Melee, he was very low on the tier list, but in this game, Bowser gained some improvements, he has faster dashing speed and his attacks are much faster, and for being a heavyweight character, those are some great improvements.
As with Classic Mode, in Rounds 1 to 3, you fight regular characters, in Rounds 4 to 5, you fight characters that use alternate costumes and custom moves, in Round 6, you fight against the Fighting Mii Team, and the final round is against Master Hand, or depending on the Intensity, you fight against Crazy Hand alongside Master Hand, or you fight against Master Core. I wanted to show off a secret that happens if you play on Intensity 8.0 or higher, but I could not get past all of Master Core's forms without losing a stock, because you go through a very difficult fight if you play on Intensity 8.0.
One thing I can explain about is Bowser's custom special moves, as this game and its 3DS counterpart, which is basically the same game, but has some different modes and stages, is the only game in the Super Smash Bros. series to have custom special moves. For custom variants of Fire Breath, the first custom move is Fire Shot, where Bowser shoots out a fireball, which does not weaken over time unlike Fire Breath, and it does passes through opponents much like Yoshi's Final Smash does, and the second move is Fire Roar, which is more powerful than Fire Breath, but it weakens quicker and it takes longer to recharge. Flying Slam, otherwise known as Bowsercide, as that tends to be used to KO opponents, but it does cause Bowser to lose a stock as well, in other words, a sacrificial KO, but anyway, the custom variants of Flying Slam are Dash Slam, where Bowser dashes forward and grabs the opponent, the jump isn't high, but it has more sideways movement, and Dash Slash is like Koopa Klaw, which was Bowser's side special in Super Smash Bros. Melee, for Dash Slash, Bowser dashes forward and slashes the opponent, it doesn't deal much damage, but it has good launching power. Then for Whirling Fortress, his up special, the first custom move is Flying Fortress, where Bowser spins high into the air, but it doesn't deal much damage, so it's better for recovery, and Sliding Fortress is the second custom move which only hits once, and it has increased ending lag. Then for Bowser Bomb, his down special, the first custom move is Turbulent Bomb, or Turbulence Bomb in Europe, this pushes away next to where Bowser lands, and it deals less knockback, while his second custom move, Slip Bomb, causes nearby opponents to trip, and Bowser jumps higher when using it, this is one of the few ways to make opponents trip, as that was a mechanic nobody liked back in Brawl.
While Bowser was improved in this game, his Giga Bowser transformation uses how Bowser used to work back in Melee and Brawl, making it not as good as when Bowser grows giant with a Super Mushroom, although I do like how Giga Bowser Punch in Ultimate was an improvement, where instead of controlling Giga Bowser like in this game, Bowser goes in the background and sends a powerful punch that can instantly Screen KO any opponent who has 60% damage or over. Another bit of trivia is that Bowser got a new victory theme in this game, where it is a darker version of the stage complete theme from Super Mario Bros., that theme is shared with Bowser Jr. in this game, and Piranha Plant in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
