The next character I use is Corrin, and his announcement was what caused the "Too many Fire Emblem characters" meme in the Smash community, because we already had Roy returning to this game as a DLC character, and when Corrin was announced, Fire Emblem Fates had not released outside of Japan, and he is the newest and most recent character by the release of their debut game, before Corrin's inclusion, Greninja was the most recent character by debut.
I did read that Corrin was almost not included in Smash 4, as Masahiro Sakurai initially thought there were too many Fire Emblem characters, yes, even Sakurai, the very person that put Byleth in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, agreed there were too many Fire Emblem characters, and Byleth's inclusion was what caused fans to give Sakurai a lot of hate, because Byleth was the final character of the 1st Fighters Pass, when all other characters were Third-Party Characters. Corrin is a similar case, he is the only DLC newcomer to not be a Third-Party Character, if ever we get a sixth Smash Bros. game, Sakurai would definitely put a Fire Emblem character that would come out before then, and then add a Fire Emblem character from an upcoming game as DLC.
Corrin is the only DLC newcomer to not come with a new stage, instead he comes with some new songs, in both versions, it is a remix of Lost in Thoughts All Alone, this song can play on both Coliseum and Castle Siege, and the original version of that song is also in this game, and some Trophies of characters from Fire Emblem Fates were included in the 3DS version when you download Corrin.
I will go over Classic Mode, in Rounds 1 to 3, you fight characters in their default costumes, in Rounds 4 and 5, you fight characters in their alternate costumes, in Round 6, you fight against the Fighting Mii Team, and in the final round, you fight against Master Hand, and on Intensity 3.0 or higher, you fight against Crazy Hand as well, and on an even higher Intensity, you fight Master Core.
Then for Corrin's special moves, his neutral special is Dragon Fang Shot, where he shoots a paralyzing projectile, and the move is followed up with a bite when fully charged, which deals increased knockback. Corrin's neutral special is Dragon Lunge, he uses his spear-hand to strike opponents, and then can follow it up with a flying kick. His up special is Draconic Ascent, or Dragon Ascent, the move is only called Draconic Ascent in this game, Corrin flies up while dealing damage, and you can control the direction of that move. Then for his down special, Counter Surge, which is a counterattack, Corrin transforms into a dragon and launches enemies with water from the ground, it is one of the strongest counterattacks in the game, along with Shulk's Vision and Roy's Counter.
Corrin's Final Smash is Torrential Roar, this is a cinematic Final Smash, and this was before Super Smash Bros. Ultimate where about every DLC character had a cinematic Final Smash, Corrin turns into a dragon and fires a large whirlpool that deals a lot of damage when used. Corrin is the only character to have the Alt. Trophy be the same in both versions of Super Smash Bros. 4, the Trophy is of female Corrin, and it uses the same pose in both versions.
