I am using R.O.B. for this Classic Mode video, and what I do with Classic Mode is that I randomize a list to decide who my next characters will be, and the playlist will display the fighters in order of how they are displayed on the roster. R.O.B.'s Classic Mode route is Unreadable Expressions, and R.O.B.'s opponents are characters that wear masks or don't have expressive faces, much like R.O.B. himself.
To unlock R.O.B., there are many different ways, one of them is through Vs. Matches, where R.O.B. is the 31st character to be unlocked, and he is the 3rd character unlocked by completing Classic Mode with Pikachu or anyone in its unlock tree after Shulk.
In Round 1, you fight against Meta Knight on his home stage of Halberd, in Round 2, your opponent is Dark Samus, and the stage is Frigate Orpheon. In Round 3, you fight a Horde Battle against Mr. Game & Watch, five of them on Flat Zone X, in Round 4, you fight Little Mac on Boxing Ring, Little Mac uses his Wireframe Mac alternate costume. In Round 5, you fight two Wii Fit Trainers, the female and male Wii Fit Trainers, and the stage is Wii Fit Studio on Battlefield Form, and in Round 6, you fight six R.O.B.s on Battlefield Form Mario Bros., and if you are playing as any of the alternate costumes, the default R.O.B. will take that spot.
Then we get the Bonus Stage, and after that is a boss fight against Galleom, likely picked because Galleom is a robot that does not have any facial expressions, and I did read that R.O.B.s final opponents are a reference to Subspace Emissary, where Galleom was one of the bosses, and R.O.B. was an important character in the story, R.O.B.'s title on Boxing Ring is "The Last of His Kind", which could be a like reference to the Subspace Emissary.
After that, the credits will roll, and the music is Stack-Up/Gyromite, as that is the only song R.O.B. has, and still to this day R.O.B. does not have a home stage, in Brawl, Mario Bros. was used for R.O.B.'s home stage, as that was where you would fight R.O.B. on All-Star mode, in Super Smash Bros. for 3DS, you fight R.O.B. on PictoChat 2 when you unlock him, in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and in this game, you fight him on Wrecking Crew when you unlock him. You earn the Fighter Spirit for R.O.B. when you complete Classic Mode with him for the first time.
