Route 230 is the final route, and it is a water route with an island in the middle of the route, and this leads back to the Fight Area, and there is something special you can do in the Fight Area in the weekends, and it is a good way to gain some levels.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

This is the final route in Sinnoh, that is Route 230, and it is mostly a water route with an island in the middle, and there isn't any notable encounters to go over, you can find Gloom, Weepinbell, Floatzel, and Golduck on the island, and there is Beautifly in Brilliant Diamond or Dustox in Shining Pearl.
There is a swarm encounter for Route 230, and that Pokémon is Corsola, it's not that great, Corsola is meant to be a defensive Pokémon, but its typing gives it a huge weakness to Grass and it is a very tricky Pokémon to use, there isn't much reason to even use that thing, and even if Galarian Corsola was available, it wouldn't be any good because there is no Eviolite in this game. It can also be found in the Grand Underground, and it's just there for Pokédex filler. The Poké Radar encounter is Togepi, which is another Pokémon you can find in the Grand Underground, it was even available right when you first enter the Grand Underground.
When you come back to the Fight Area, you can battle against Barry on weekends, and here is his team.
Barry's team (Turtwig)
Staraptor: Close Combat, Pluck, Steel Wing, U-turn (Focus Sash)
Floatzel: Ice Fang, Crunch, Swift, Waterfall (Quick Claw)
Heracross: Megahorn, Swords Dance, Rock Slide, Close Combat
Roserade: Grassy Terrain, Giga Drain, Toxic, Sludge Bomb (Black Sludge)
Snorlax: Covet, Yawn, Crunch, Hammer Arm
Infernape: Close Combat, Flare Blitz, U-turn, Shadow Claw (Expert Belt)

Barry's team (Chimchar)
Staraptor: Close Combat, Pluck, Rain Dance, U-turn (Focus Sash)
Roserade: Sludge Bomb, Giga Drain, Stun Spore, Shadow Ball (Black Sludge)
Heracross: Megahorn, Swords Dance, Rock Slide, Close Combat
Rapidash: Smart Strike, Megahorn, Poison Jab, Flame Wheel (Expert Belt)
Snorlax: Covet, Yawn, Crunch, High Horsepower
Empoleon: Charm, Grass Knot, Surf, Flash Cannon (Quick Claw)

Barry's team (Piplup)
Staraptor: Close Combat, Pluck, Sunny Day, U-turn (Focus Sash)
Rapidash: Smart Strike, Megahorn, Poison Jab, Flame Wheel (Expert Belt)
Heracross: Megahorn, Swords Dance, Rock Slide, Close Combat
Floatzel: Ice Fang, Crunch, Swift, Waterfall (Quick Claw)
Snorlax: Covet, Yawn, Crunch, High Horsepower
Torterra: Earthquake, Wood Hammer, Roar, Stealth Rock (Leftovers)

Barry has some really high levelled Pokémon in that battle, and his team does gain 10 more levels when you have fought the Elite Four 20 times, and another thing I want to go over, in Platinum, Barry's team gained 10 levels if you beaten the Elite Four 10 times, and his team gains 10 more levels if you have beaten the Elite Four 20 times, and Barry's Starter Pokémon in that fight was the highest levelled Pokémon in the whole Pokémon series at Level 85, the one that held the previous record was Red's Pikachu in Pokémon Gold & Silver, which was Level 81, and that record wasn't held on for that long, Red's Pikachu in HeartGold & SoulSilver is Level 88, and it is the current highest level Pokémon to be owned by a Trainer.
In Platinum, Barry would be at the Survival Area instead of the Fight Area, and Buck's house next to the Pokémon Center becomes the Battleground, which would open up after completing Stark Mountain, and this was where you rematch the Gym Leaders and you would battle the Stat Trainers.
