#SuperOldGameSaturday - Sega Ages Out Run (Nintendo Switch)
For best audio results, listen with your left speaker only and mute the right speaker; sorry for these audio issues that came up with this show!
Recorded/Aired on August 17th, 2024
We're once again back to a classic Sega arcade driving game classic here on #SuperOldGameSaturday and once again, we had audio problems like we did with Daytona USA back in April (which are mitigated, admittingly, by muting the right speaker). I'm not going to beat around the bush and I'm really disappointed that it happened, especially since this was a viewer request from ElecVerse for 1986's Out Run, which we used the Sega Ages Out Run version on Nintendo Switch for our first full look at this game, but given the audio problems, we'll come back to this again. For now, though, while I was blissfully unaware of that elephant in the room, I had a great time reliving my memories with this classic as we drove our Ferrari Testerossa through all of the stages, all of the paths, all of the goals, while listening to all of the great music and experiencing all of the extras in this $8 download version that may be the definitive way to play this game. DollyFinn joined us in the best chat on Twitch as we all celebrated this one and went into our history with it, other Sega arcade releases, the Sega Ages line on this console and much more, including an extra look-ahead to some future games and future show ideas with a trip to the Nintendo Switch eShop. Again, I'm sorry about the audio problems we had (which I'm doing everything to fix, now that it's better isolated having now happened in our new studio), but this was another great show for a great game that we'll come back to for a future and improved look at (and DollyFinn since called dibs on our return). In the meantime, hope you enjoy our summer drive with Sega Ages Out Run (and if you like what you see, stop by / captainditrag to see these streams live and join/help drive the conversations on what we play each week and also, to see the schedule for our next show, which will be this Saturday at 7 PM EST)!
