#SuperOldGameSaturday - Until Dawn Remake (PlayStation 5) - Part 1

Welcome to week 2 of our 2024 Halloween Block here on #SuperOldGameSaturday with the long-awaited return of our resident horror expert in the most recent game we've ever played on our show so far and one that was so big (and our longest single stream yet), we had to split it into 2 parts. TheCrochetNerd64 is back with us for Until Dawn, which originally came out in 2015 from Sony and Supermassive Games for PlayStation 4, but we're playing its recent (and certainly Mature-rated) PlayStation 5 remake from new developer Ballistic Moon that came out a mere 8 days before our play here. This is a cinematic choice-based horror game much like The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan that we played for the show last year, and just like that one, we're both on camera for this program as we went mostly blind on Until Dawn, which tells the story of a group of teenagers who return to a mountain village in Vancouver a year after a prank led to tragedy, many of whom are played by famous actors, such as Hayden Panettiere, Rami Malek, Peter Stromare and Meaghan Martin. As expected, crazy antics and horror ensue, complete with frequent/loud screams from the both of us and the best chat on Twitch who joined us and helped us guide where this great story went. Cazim22, ajayy42, Gemiknight96, DollyFinn, TonyShamurda and ultra94t joined us for this play as we went into our history of horror movies and games, our live reactions on this extremely modern release, discussions on recent Sony remakes of not so old games and seeing if the reports of bugs, glitches and crashes on this one came to pass. Trust this; this is a play (both this part and the next) that you don't want to miss and I thank TheCrochetNerd64 for the suggestion of this game and for our great chat in joining us through this marathon play that's certain to get you into the Halloween mood.
