Our 2025 Valentine's Day special on SuperOldGameSaturday was Part 3 of Shenmue for the Dreamcast, a game I certainly love, but it was also a great show filled with love in places I didn't expect. After we completed Disc 1 and had Nozomi confess her love for Ryo in Part 2, we went to find Warehouse #8, got in touch with the harbor security guards, met Master Chen, learned more about where Lan Di might be and about the significance of the mirror he stole, fought the hardest battle in the game, learned even more about Nozomi and Miki, celebrated Christmas in the game with an appearance from Santa Claus and did and much more. Joining us was the best chat on Twitch, as always, including the debut of aceriverside, who's actually my cousin and shares a love of Sega like I do, along with providing great insights onto this game and the tech behind it while we continued to soak in this great game together (while the power of editing adds even more to this part). Oh, and we also completed Disc 2 this time, to the point where we might be closer to the end of the game than I expected we would by the time we complete the next part of the game on March 1st.
