The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion | Ghost Stories

I tried to investigate the campsite but it appeared that nothing was happening. Perhaps the ghost is punctual unlike I? I decided I had to wait a whole 23 hours but I'll not do so standing by idly. I chose to explore the nearby Ayleid ruins for some treasure and to pass the time. The place was filled with undead and no notable treasure.
I then hauled off whatever I found to Bravil but seemingly as always I arrived late into the night so I paid for a room and slept off the rest of the night. In the morning I sold off anything useless to me and went back out to explore more. Another Ayleid ruin caught my eye but the only difference was that the ruin was filled with trolls. These guys have become easier to manage thanks to my skilled use of a blunt weapon. While I could do the same with my fists, the damage output along with their strange method of regenerating health would only drag the fight out longer than needed and thus put my own health at risk.
It would seem there may be a reason for organic creatures to be living here and its potentially due to the Spriggan that launched its assault on me. This was a fierce creature that I had yet to battle. While its organic material was used for the purposes of alchemy it holds very little value. Regardless I found myself once again lacking in proper treasure and hauled it off once more to Bravil for a pittance of gold.
There was still plenty of time till the meeting with this ghost and so I wandered the nearby area for anything at this point. Going into a fort, cave, or ruin could make me lose track of time and then I would have to do this all over again. I then decided it would be best to wait at the camp and a few hours later there it was. A ghostly figure appeared out of nowhere and began wandering.
I didn't interact with the Ghost but I stayed close to it in case it would do something. Eventually, it stopped at a location and the ghost seemed to look off far into the distance looking somewhat regretful. It spoke to me, telling me his name and to release him from the panther. I wasn't sure what he meant by that so I rushed back to the inn and spoke to Gilgondorion who told me that the mouth of the panther is a place along the river where some sailers should not go to. I had been to such a place before so I rushed over as fast as I could only to find nothing but ghosts.
Fighting them is such a nightmare. The lack of an enchanted weapon makes this much harder. I should look into getting artifacts to deal with this awful undead rather than having to rely on whatever magic weapon I come across. Still, the other option would be to become better at casting magic and just resorting to doing that. Either way, I made it to the bottom and found a skeleton chained up. I freed it and the ghost thanked me by leaving a map of where its treasure was buried.
A fine bit of treasure that was.
