I escorted Martin to the Weynon Priory when we heard the sounds of blades being crossed. The grounds keeper, Eronor, was horrified, the place was being attacked by those red hooded assassins that got the emperor. I rushed to help as fast as I could and despite having fought back the assassins there was a casualty and worse: the Emperors necklace was stolen. All is not lost though, we still have a legitimate heir to the throne.

The priory is no longer safe but there is still a place to hide the would be emperor: at Cloud Ruler Temple. They mounted their horses and I took one that belonged to one of the fallen monks. I asked if we could make a stop at the Imperial City, there would be plenty of guards there so I doubt any of the assassins would be foolish enough to attack us there. After making my rounds there we headed for the temple which is north near Bruma.

The road there was long but we made it there all the same with little to no damage. The guards at the temple welcomed their old master and greeted the young Martin. We went in and Martin was put on the spot to give a speech. It was somewhat awkward but given the circumstances no one should pay any attention to that. Martin will stay with the Blades and for the time being I will go and gain experience.

For the time being I went to Bruma to see the city so close to Skyrim. I'm not one for cold environments so a place like this isn't somewhere where I want to be at. Yet the people here need help all the same. I heard a rumor that some poor woman is left without any money thanks to her husband taking it all and hiding it. I went to see her only to be tricked into their schemes.

These were thieves. They would go around tricking and robbing people of their hard earned money but this time the Husband was caught. He is no fool though, he probably knew that his wife would just take the money and run so he hid as to make them both suffer. Arnora tells me to find out where the money is or she will report me to the authorities and I will be in trouble. Once more I've let my naivety get me into trouble.

I visited Bruma's prison and found Jorundr. I tried to speak to him but he could not trust me at all. I was at a loss in how to get this to work, I leaned over grabbed something when the guard nearby thought I was stealing from them! This gave me an idea, rather than pay my fine I'll take the jail time and get locked up with Jorundr. Perhaps then he'll talk to me about where the money was hidden. It came little to no surprise that he wanted his wife dead and since he knew I would be out soon he wanted me to bring back proof.

Prior to getting out, I saw that one of the guards was pressing him for information about the money he hid. Jorundr would not talk. I went back to Arnora and told her what happened. She saw this coming and gave me one of her amulets as proof that she is "dead". Once more went back to prison and showed Jorundr that Arnora is "dead" and he reveals the location of the money. Just outside the main gate. I went there and surprisingly there was the corrupt guard from before. he talked about cutting off any lose ends and that Arnora was dead. I fought him off and killed him. It would seem that no matter where I go there will always be corruption.

I collected the money and checked back on Arnora and confirmed she was dead. With nothing left to do for the time being I went back to Skingrad and see what else could be done.
