The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion | Finding the Heir

I had finished my business in Skingrad and had decided to have another match back in the Arena. I hurried back to my little shack by the waterfront and from there I went for a fight. My opponent was a spellcaster. I felt very put off by their fighting style. While restoration spells are fair game, the thought of using offensive or illusionary magic didn't seem to fit in the spirit of the competition.
I was wrong though, she used alteration magic to keep me in place while she swung her blade at me. That felt somewhat appropriate. Thanks to my encounter with that wizard though I have grown somewhat uneasy with magic users so I tend to keep a safe distance from them. I did some heavy armor training and then went on my way to Chorrol when I stopped by the Weynon Priory. I figured it was time to drop off this silly necklace I was carrying with me.
The monk sitting behind the desk was very skeptical of my story. I told him that I felt the same and that I had no reason to lie about something so absurd. The monk then tells me to go back to Kvatch and seek out an heir to the throne by the name of Martin. Who knew there was another heir to the throne? Uriel Septim certainly played things safe. The thought of having to go back to Kvatch did make me hesitate. I still feel terrible for the loss of my city, my mother, and my home. Still, if things are to back to the way things used to be I must be brave for whatever tasks lay ahead.
I stopped by a place called Fort Istirus to explore. I was thinking that there could be some Shadowbanish Wine in this fort. Unfortunately, all I found was nothing but Necromancers just consistently summoning skeletons while they pelt away at me with their magic. I had to increase my speed to keep up with these damn mages. The detour took much longer than I would have wanted and so I had to make up for lost time.
I finally found Martin at the encampment and spoke to him about coming along with me. Understandably, he was upset over the whole thing and couldn't make sense of it all. I was in a similar position back in Vvardenfell. I didn't understand why I was being used or why I was told to do something that was beyond my skill. Yet somehow it all worked out in the end, for the Empire, and instead of being treated with respect, I was tossed in jail after I was stripped of my power. I hope they don't do the same to Martin. After convincing him, we went on our way.
