A lot of places on the internet call this SNK PS1 fighting game "Real Bout Fatal Fury Special Dominated Mind"--perhaps because it is a significantly modified version of the NeoGeo fighting game "Real Bout Fatal Fury Special," but make no mistake, there is no "Fatal Fury" in the game's title, as you can see from the title screen (2:17) in this video of me playing it!

Back in the day, when I got this game, I kind of thought it was a better version of the Fatal Fury games, because it did away with the "line sway" system or whatever you want to call it where characters could dodge in and out along multiple parallel fighting planes, which greatly annoyed me.

Of course, being on the PS1, the characters have less animation than the original games, and there are loading times. It does add a few characters, like a new boss--a Clockwork Orange rip-off--and an annoying playable kid character, Alfred, who apparently was borrowed from Real Bout Fatal Fury 2, where he was a secret boss character or something.

You also get modes and stuff! There's an anime intro, a Survival mode--which does the usual survival thing, a Practice mode, and a very thorough--although mostly in Japanese--Character Information section tucked away in the options screens, where you can bring up pages of info, a nice Shinkiro illustration, and the music track for each character. Neat! And the gameplay music is fully orchestrated "arrange"-style tracks rather than the original NeoGeo chip tunes.
