I swear this is the last of my "beat the Capcom vs SNK 2 boss" videos--unless some day I work up the courage to actually try and beat Boss Mode, which is...unlikely unless I miraculously get way better at the game. I did beat it once...somehow...

Anyway, these *are* actually leading up so something new, which we'll see in the very next episode! See, my problem with CvS2, for all the cool stuff it has in it, is that I haven't been able to find a way to play it--single-player, of course : p--that really grabs me. Unless I have a specific goal, like beating one of the bosses to unlock something (in this case, beating Rugal unlocked absolutely nothing since I'd already beat Akuma to unlock their rainy Osaka stage, so eh well it's a good thing I didn't really realize that before I started : p), then CvS2's Arcade mode feels really empty and pointless to me for some reason. Maybe just...too superficial somehow, like, I don't find myself believing in the world or the characters--part of the problem with a mash-up game, perhaps. But Capcom also don't too much out of their way--aside from a few cool individual match-up intro animations--to give us detailed characterizations. And the difficulty curve until you get to the boss could also be somewhat flat. Oh! And I don't like having to earn "points" in order to qualify for the end boss fight. : P But I also don't actually like end boss fights, so maybe it's good?

So I went in search of a mode that would keep drawing me back. And I think I found one! But I wanted to unlock all the stages to make it better, so that got me back into beating the individual bosses. Now we're done with that prep work, thank goodness, and next episode will be on to the main event! Which to most people will probably seem silly...but to me CvS2 *is* silly, so might as well embrace it! : D
